Photographers & Cameras Used
I started taking pictures of the garden in the summer of 2011 using a Pentax Optio33L and Kodak EasyShare C533 digital camera.

August 2011 I upgraded to a sexier used Canon EOS Rebel XT / 350D DSLR with a Canon 75-300mm and Canon 28-200mm lens.

Upgraded again in Februay 2012 to a Canon EOS Rebel T2i 550D with a Canon 75-300mm lens.

In late 2012 I graduated from using cheap Close Up lens for "macro" shots to a proper EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens attatched to another Canon EOS Rebel T2i 550D.

Added a Canon PowerShot SX40 HS to my bag in 2013 (P mode with the following settings: iContrast on Auto - Continuous IS - Auto ISO - Ev at -0.3)

Upgraded my Canon PowerShot SX40 HS on 3/4/14 to the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS for the 1,200mm zoom.
(check out this handy little video for programming your SX50 HS for birding and macro pictures.)

John and I both bought Lytro Light Field Digital Cameras with 8x Optical Zoom in 2015. Perhaps now I can win him over to bugging!

John McConnell initially used a Canon EOS 300D with a Cannon 75-300mm and Canon 28-200mm lens for some of the older pictures
More recent images were taken using a Canon EOS 50D and Canon EOS 70D with a 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM APO.

Nick Varvel is using a Canon PowerShot SX40 HS - making the most of it's 800mm lens for birding.

Joanne Parker photgraphs birds with a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS with the 1,200mm zoom.

Ashli Ahrens uses a Nikon D70 with 55-200mm lens.

Chance Thoman uses a Nikon D3200 with a 650mm-1300mm and 75mm-200mm lens.

Rachel Thompson takes pictures using a Canon PowerShot SX40 HS.

John M. Bara shoots with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i 550D with a Canon 75-300mm lens.

All pictures taken in Kansas and Missouri except where noted by *
