Insects/Bugs/Bees/Butterflies - Apoid Wasps
Class:Insecta Order:Hymenoptera Family:Crabronidae

Apoid Wasps, Crabronidae. Crabronidae wasps are more closely related to bees than the other families of wasps, and you can tell by looking at them. Their bodies lack that dramatically "threaded-waste" that the Sphecididae family of wasps have. This wasp appears to have a face with large lips on it's thorax - two eyes up by the head and the lips near the abdomen.

All species pages are currently being updated with more useful descriptions and information.
