Insects/Bugs/Bees/Butterflies - Owlet Moths - Arcigera Flower Moth
Class:Insecta Order:Lepidoptera Family:Noctuidae Genus:Schinia

Arcigera Flower Moth, Schinia Arcigera can be found on Aster plants, mostly nocturnal and attracted by light. Females are identifiable by the light fringe on the tip of the wing and the males by the black spot on their unfringed wings. I found this specimen on a Black-eyed Susan. Their host plant is Asters.
