Insects/Bugs/Bees/Crawlers/Crawlers - Jumping Spider - Bold Jumper
Class:Arachnida Order:Araneae Family:Salticidae Genus:Phidippus

Bold Jumper, Phidippus audax. North American Jumping Spider, also known as the Daring Jumping Spider. These guys often have irredescent, metallic colorings. Their bodies are harry, compact and made for jumping long distances to capture prey. White spots on abdomen can help in identification. Just about missed this tiny Jumping Spider hidden in a Black-eyed Susan plant while searching for a Wheelbug nymph I had seen earlier.

All species pages are currently being updated with more useful descriptions and information.
