Birds - Cinnamon Teal
Class:Aves Order:Anseriformes Family:Anatidae Genus:Anas

Cinnamon Teal, Anas cyanoptera. The Cinnamon Teal is a dabbling duck, meaning it feeds at the surface of the water instead of diving for food. These are found in and near the water. They are a great example of sexual dichromatism, as the male is a gorgeous reddish brown, but the females are more dull and brown in color. Cinnamon Teal photographed by Nick Varvel and John McConnell.
