Insects/Bugs/Bees/Butterflies - Tawny Emperor Class:Insecta Order:Lepidoptera Family:Nymphalidae Genus:Asterocampa I see this butterfly in the same spot on the same tree at the same time each day - right when the sun is hitting it. With it's wings are folded it is brown and tan with white spots and dark eyes. Open, the wings are patterend with orange and brown spots and eyes.
